The Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Inc. is the only statewide organization in Florida dedicated solely to the criminal defense attorney. FACDL is a not-for-profit corporation formed exclusively for the promotion of excellence, integrity, and dissemination of knowledge for the criminal defense lawyer and is affiliated with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

To be a unified voice in improving the criminal justice system by promoting excellence, integrity, and the independence of the criminal defense lawyer while ensuring the protection of the rights of individuals. 

PURPOSE

To promote study and research in criminal defense law and related discipline

To disseminate by lectures, seminars and publications the advancement of knowledge of the law as it relates to the field of criminal defense practice

To promote the proper administration of criminal justice

To foster, maintain and encourage the independence and expertise of the criminal defense lawyer

To further the education of the criminal defense community through periodic meetings and to provide a forum for the exchange of information concerning the criminal justice system
